### Mickey Mouse’s Magical Fried Rice (Inspired by the Magic!)
To capture the spirit of Mickey and his friends, we’re sharing a recipe for Magical Fried Rice! It’s easy to make, even if you’re as busy as Minnie Mouse preparing for a party. Each bite is like a little burst of happiness, just like watching a Disney movie! We think your little ones will adore it. You can even make it with them!
Ingredients:
- 2 cups cooked rice (day-old is best, like leftover sticky rice!)
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil (for that extra special flavor!)
- 1/2 cup diced carrots (for Goofy’s silliness!)
- 1/2 cup diced peas (for Donald’s grumbling… they’re green, get it?)
- 1/4 cup diced onion (for a touch of sophistication, like Daisy!)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced (to ward off any evil villains!)
- 1 egg, lightly beaten (for golden sunshine!)
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce (the secret ingredient!)
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce (for umami, like a hug from Pluto!)
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar (for sweetness, like Mickey’s smile!)
- Pinch of white pepper (just a little kick!)
- Optional: Cooked shrimp, chicken, or pork (for extra protein, like Hercules!)
- Optional: Chopped green onions (for garnish, like pixie dust!)
Instructions:
- First, heat the sesame oil in a large wok or skillet over medium-high heat. Remember, safety first! Just like how Mickey always looks out for his friends.
- Add the diced carrots, peas, and onion. Stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes, until the vegetables are slightly softened. We dont want them like rocks!
- Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute, until fragrant. Ooh, that smell is lovely! Just like baking fresh bread.
- Push the vegetables to one side of the wok or skillet. Pour the beaten egg into the empty space and scramble it until it’s cooked. Then, mix the egg with the vegetables. You must mix it up well!
- Add the cooked rice to the wok or skillet. Break up any clumps with your spatula. Don’t let the rice be sticky like glue!
- Pour the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sugar over the rice. Stir-fry everything together until the rice is evenly coated and heated through. Season with a pinch of white pepper.
- If you’re using cooked shrimp, chicken, or pork, add it to the fried rice and stir-fry until heated through. Make sure your meat is cooked properly before adding!
- Garnish with chopped green onions, if desired. They give such pretty color! Like fireworks at Disneyland.
- Serve immediately and enjoy! This fried rice is so good, it’s almost too good to be true! But don’t worry, it’s real… and really delicious! Now you go and make this for your family, and let them all be happy just like in the magical world of Disney. We believe you can do it!
