- Melt the butter in a pot large enough to accommodate the entire population of Lilliput.
- Add the marshmallows and stir until melted. If you manage to do this without creating a sticky, molten mess, you’re clearly a wizard and should be dealing with actual dragons instead of sugar castles.
- Stir in the Rice Krispies. At this point, your arms will probably start to feel like they’re made of lead. Embrace the pain; it’s character-building.
- Tint the mixture with blue food coloring. Remember, you’re aiming for “magical,” not “toxic waste.”
- Mold the Rice Krispies mixture onto the plywood base. This is where the engineer (or architect, or that kid who was really good at building sandcastles) comes in handy. Good luck replicating that intricate castle design. You’ll probably end up with a vaguely rectangular blob. That’s okay. Call it “modern art.”
- Drizzle with melted white chocolate. This is your chance to cover up any structural deficiencies. Nobody will notice the leaning tower if it’s covered in delicious chocolate!
- Sprinkle with edible glitter. Because everything looks better with glitter. Even a sugary monstrosity that’s about to collapse under its own weight.
- Let it set. This will take approximately 3-5 business days… or until the humidity levels drop below 10%.
- Take a picture for Instagram. Because if you don’t document it, did it even happen?
- Finally, attempt to eat it. But be warned: you’ll likely need a jackhammer, a dental appointment, and a whole lot of insulin.
